UI Design
If you’re starting in Photoshop you’ve already failed.
Steve Jobs trotted up to a white board, while his team was in the middle of yet another debate about a complex menu system they were struggling with simplifying.
In one quick motion, he took a marker, and on the board drew a circle next to a larger box, then an arrow going from the circle to the box.
That circle was a CD and that box was where you drag-n-dropped it to burn it.
I didn’t even have to show you a drawing, but in a few sentences you understood not just what I was talking about, but how it worked. And professional tools were nowhere to be seen.
That’s great UI design.
