What if you could be a director for a moment. You don’t even need to get any equipment or even a pencil and paper. Just use your imagination.

If you could create the life you want, how would you direct it? How would it play out?

It can’t be all good times, that’s not very fun for the viewer. Story 101 says without conflict, you have no story.

But isn’t that what life is? Conflict on the way to getting somewhere you want to go?

The next time you have a bridge to cross or a mountain to climb, imagine how awesome and inspiring that story is going to be when you finally tell it. I’m guessing, captivating.

So look forward to the conflict, and embrace it, because the more you face, and the harder they are, the more likely you are to win an Academy Award.
